Climate Adapt Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 June 2026

Climate Adapt provides local climate, weather, rainfall, soil-moisture, and drought-advisory information for India. The app is operated for the Climate Adapt project and can be used without creating an account.

Information we collect

The app does not require sign-in, does not show ads, and does not collect payment information. If you submit the feedback form, we collect the information you choose to provide: your feedback message, optional name, optional email address, and the selected state, district, taluka, or panchayat context included with that feedback.

How we use information

Feedback information is used to respond to users, improve the app, investigate issues, and understand which localities need clearer climate-adaptation guidance.

Location and device data

Climate Adapt uses the location choices you select inside the app, such as state, district, or taluka, to show relevant climate information. The current Android release does not request precise GPS location permission.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We use infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare, to host the feedback service and store feedback records securely for the project.

Security and retention

Feedback is sent over HTTPS. We retain feedback for as long as it is useful for project support, product improvement, and accountability, unless deletion is requested.

Your choices

You can use the app without submitting feedback. To request deletion of feedback you submitted, contact us from the same email address you used in the feedback form if possible.
